Genetic Varation Analysis
We use a variety of currently available technologies to study genetic variation in case-control designs:
  • Polymorphism detection and analysis:
    Using Next-generation sequencing technologies we can support sequencing and re-sequencing for mutation testing or discovery.
  • Genome wide association studies:
    Our scalable SNP platform is capable of delivering quality assessment and statistical association tests for both Affymetrix and Illumina data.
  • Copy number variation:
    We use the latest tools to determine copy number variation and loss of heterozygosity in samples.
  • Single feature polymorphism (SFP):
    In the absence of a defined genome we find that GeneChip or BeadArray expression arrays can be used for detecting genetic polymorphisms between two populations. This in-house SFP calling method based on a splice-site prediction algorithm has been successfully experimentally validated in several crop plant studies.
