The HiperDART consortium is strongly convinced that including the SuNS technology into microarray production will provide a technology platform that will be able to efficiently and effectively tackle the problems of signal-to-noise and lengthy workflows and one which promises to dramatically improve the reliability (reproducibility and costs) of medical tests. By using the complex disease, colon cancer, to prove the strength of the HiPerDART microarray technology platform, the first HiPerDART diagnostic microarray test will be validated. Crosslinks Role Crosslinks aims to perform quality control (QC) measurements and normalisations to verify the SuNS array measurements as comparable or superior to those obtained with other established competing platforms. We also aim to verify the sensitivity and specificity of the signals in samples obtained in a clinical setting and perform statistical analysis for the validation of the prognostic profiles delivered by the platform. |
