Page 1 of 2 Crosslinks is a small, dynamic start-up company based in Rotterdam at the Erasmus Medical Center, with a strong academic collaboration with the Department of Bioinformatics. We require a scientific programmer to design and develop software solutions for a variety of projects ranging from genomic analysis through to web portal development and advanced 3D immersive environments. The position is and “hands on” role with a significant degree of autonomy and the successful candidate would be comfortable in a number of languages and platforms – in particular Unix/Windows, Java, Perl, R, CC++ and PHP - and be confident in their ability to present their work and justify their design decisions both internally and to clients. Ideally you will also have a relevant background in a scientific field to at least degree level and preferably a MSc/PhD. In particular bioinformatics or genomics experience would be an asset, although additional training is available in specialist areas as necessary. The role will offer real variety and will challenge you to adapt and widen your skillset both from the software and scientific perspectives, and give you the chance to make highly visible contributions to the company’s and your success.
